Camfridge represented at the inaugural meeting of SIRAC, the EPSRC funded Industrial Academic Research Partnership Network in refrigeration, by its Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Karl Sandeman.
   
Karl Sandeman, Camfridge's Chief Scientific Officer, is representing Camfridge within Sirac, the new initiaitive to foster inter-industry, inter-acedemic and academic-industry collaboration in the refrigeraton industry. "This is what is required to get the UK industry to begin adopting new sustainable technologies that both cutting edge scientific research and innovative new companies are creating", commented Dr. Sandeman.

Camfridge'closely follows developments in environmental technology, and comments by Neil Wilson on recent development in the use of bacteria in the oil and gas industry have been published in Nature.
  
       

Camfridge has completed its latest technology milestone demonstrating that efficiency gains may be significantly larger than first thought.

    
Building on its dramatic technology progress at the end of last year, Camfridge has demonstrated that the energy efficiency gains from magnetic refrigeration may be significantly higher than first thought. "This sort of result is highly motivating, encouraging us to move even faster towards high-efficiency gas-free refrigeration products demanded and needed by the $multi-billion refrigeration industry", commented Paul Burdett, Camfridge's Senior Engineer.

Camfridge and its strategic partner, a leading heat pump manufacturer, alongside other key academic partners and suppliers, have reached the final round of competition for the EC's Framework 7 cooperation programme R&D funding.

Only 173 out of 770 proposals have reached this stage so we are delighted that the European Commission has endorsed both our commercial and technical objectives in this way”, said Neil Wilson, Managing Director of Camfridge.

Camfridge completes key technical milestone.

Camfridge, with financial support from the Carbon Trust, has completed a key technical milestone that delivers a 50 fold increase in power utilisation.  “We are delighted with current technical progress” said Neil Wilson, Managing Director of Camfridge, “achieving this milestone is a significant springboard to us delivering commercial applications in the near future and the support of the Carbon Trust has been an import factor to us achieving this level of technical progress.”
